Real Madrid plans to kidnap the star of Saudi Al-Nassr

Real Madrid is reportedly eyeing Aymeric Laporte, a star defender from Saudi club Al-Nassr, to address their current defensive crisis in the upcoming winter transfer window. According to the Spanish outlet *Relevo*, Real Madrid's squad has been significantly weakened by injuries to key defenders like Éder Militão, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vázquez, David Alaba, and Aurelien Tchouameni. While young defender Raúl Asensio could provide temporary relief, Real Madrid’s management recognizes the need for a more experienced, impactful addition.

Laporte, formerly of Manchester City and now a standout at Al-Nassr, is admired by Real Madrid’s technical staff. His qualities—a left-footed defender adept at advancing the ball from the back—address weaknesses exposed since Alaba's injury. His Spanish citizenship and extensive experience in top competitions also make him a particularly attractive option for the team.

However, several hurdles complicate this potential acquisition. Laporte’s contract with Al-Nassr is lucrative, and a move to Real Madrid would likely come with a reduced salary, which could pose a challenge. Furthermore, Al-Nassr might be unwilling to part with him mid-season due to his importance to the team. A possible compromise could involve a six-month loan deal, a solution Real Madrid might explore to bring Laporte temporarily to the Santiago Bernabéu and help stabilize their backline.
